Hi there! I’m Tia (or the original Sweetie Mama as I like to call myself) and this blog is all about sweets and how to enjoy them when you have PCOS! Yup you read that right, no sad diets over here!
All my life I’ve struggled with my weight and other PCOS symptoms but you know what never helped? Cutting out desserts 100%. Its just not sustainable.
Cake is JOY, and who wants LESS joy in their life? Not me and probably not you either! And a lot of the time we cheat ourselves out of good experiences by being too strict with our eating habits.
For instance when I went Culinary school for Baking and Pastry I remember being soooo excited to bake all day, but then I felt GUILTY for eating the food! Guilty. For. Eating. FOOD. Geeze
At the time I was struggling with binging and restrictive dieting and it really robbed me of enjoying Culinary School the way my classmates did. But what I’m learning now that I didn’t know at the time was how to find balance! I truly believe PCOS doesn’t have to be a prison. So take a deep breath, and finally release yourself of the food guilt. Allow yourself to find joy in baking again because ya know what?
